For the new Land Rover Defender 2020, we’re appealing to its faithful off-road community through embracing the joy and pride of having a dirty car.
Insight
There’s a certain stigma around having a dirty looking car outside of this community. A dirty car makes people think you’re irresponsible, and don’t take good care of your possessions.
But when it comes off-roading, the messier the car, the better. A dirty Rover highlights its free-spirited and adventurous nature.
Solution
Show the fun that the new Land Rover Defender can create, with the car being the proof. Show pride in a dirty car.
Out and About
We place cars already roughened and covered in mud on the streets to gain public attention.

We will give customers the chance to purchase their new Land Rover Defender as if it was already sporting an adventurous lifestyle.
